“Can You Get Rid Of Pain Caused By A Surgical Steel Bar?”

Yesterday, I saw a patient of mine who I used to coach in flag football a few years back. He was one of those special kids that you never forget.

Anyway, he had a surgery performed a while back called the Nuss procedure for a condition he had in his chest. The procedure required two concave stainless-steel bars that were inserted behind his sternum.

Last July, he took a fall off his skateboard and as a result of imbalances developed over the past 6 months, one of the bars shifted, creating a stabbing pain in his side.

He said, "It feels like a knife is trying to break through the skin."

So how do you get rid of pain that is caused by a stainless-steel bar that is stabbing him from the inside out?

On the surface it appears that not much could be done, but if you dig a little deeper with the confidence that your body is designed to repair itself, a lot can be done.

The key is removing the stressors that are causing your body to be imbalanced.

Chiropractic Torrance CA X-RaysHow do you do that? You can try to do it on your own by incorporating stress relief techniques, but one of the fastest ways I know of is using The Taylor Method with Pressure Wave Technology and the stressors can be eliminated in a matter of minutes.

Your body has a very difficult time healing and repairing when it is bound up in scar tissue in a state of imbalance.

However, if you simply remove these imbalances, your body can now start to repair and heal very quickly (see video above of how pain can go from a 10/10 to a 0/10 in just a few minutes).

Even though the pain was associated with the steel bar that shifted from the fall, the real cause was the imbalances that developed from stress over time caused by lifestyle.

The lockdowns have created a shift in our lifestyles, especially for young people who are sitting in front of their computers at home doing school on zoom calls for hours.

So, let me ask you a question.

Has your lifestyle changed over the past 9 months?

Are you finding yourself being more sedentary and less active?

Have you developed any new health conditions or symptoms that you never had before recently?

If so, your body may be out of balance which is causing it to act differently than before.

So, what do you need to do if that is the case?

Get it back in balance.

Some of you may be asking, "How do I get out of balance in the first place?"

Just ask yourself 5 questions:

  1. Am I working too much?
  2. Am I emotionally stressed out?
  3. Am I stress eating?
  4. Am I getting enough daily physical activity?
  5. Am I on my phone or computer too much?

If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, your body may be 'out of balance' which is causing you to have a problem you never had before.

Here is the good news.

You can work towards getting more balanced today by making at least one positive choice for your health...

  • ...going for a walk
  • ...eating an organic green salad
  • ...doing an outdoor activity, you love to do
  • ...spending time with a loved one

As for me, amid my recent crazy busy schedule I would love to make it down to the beach this afternoon and soak up a little Vitamin Sea.

Maybe I will see you there, if not, have a Fabulous Friday!
