A Very Good Day
Chiropractic Torrance CA A Very Good Day

This morning I realized early on it was going to be a very good day.

After my morning routine, I started the day by taking my wife's vehicle to get serviced at the dealership as the maintenance light was on.

I parked in the line for no appointments, went in, and spoke with a service advisor who asked, "Do you have an appointment today?"

I said, "No." He laughed as he looked at his scheduled appointments for the day and said, "Yes you do, you have an appointment for 8:00AM today. You're in the wrong spot, let me take you to the appointment advisor."

I reached the service advisor and proceeded to tell him I was in for my 5,000 maintenance and informed him of the malfunctioning middle seat sliding mechanism that needed to be fixed.

I then asked, "Is there a possibility that I am still under warranty?" He said, "Let me check."

He looks at my odometer reading and says, "Yes."

I asked, "What was the mileage required to have it under warranty?"

He said, "36,000 miles." I looked at my odometer reading, and it was 35,090 miles.

I was telling this story to the shuttle driver on the way home and he advised me to go to the racetrack today to place my bets.

Once I got home, I needed to replace a door handle in the house, so I went to Home Depot.

I thought I would try to find a battery for the spare smart key on my car since it was dead, but it looks like you need to be a Nassau scientist to replace it and the dealership replaces it at a premium price.

I asked the first Home Depot worker I ran into about the smart key battery, and he found the right battery, took apart my smart key, replaced it, and gave me instructions on what to do if my car didn't read it.

I asked, "How do you know so much about all this?" He said, "I worked at a dealership for 5 years before working here and I replaced smart key batteries all the time."

On the way home, I thought about the biggest reason why today was a very good day and that is because 20 years ago today, I married my beautiful wife, Ali, who has enriched my life beyond my wildest dreams.

My two youngest sons dressed up as waiters, crafted a homemade anniversary sign, and made a special surprise breakfast for us with GF pancakes, eggs, and salad.

I have been fortunate and blessed with relatively good health and a big reason for that is my wife who has come alongside me to support, encourage, strengthen, relieve, counsel, help, love, and nurture me over the past 20 years.

The people you are surrounded by can have a major influence on your health for good or bad.

What kind of influence will you have on others today?
